My Course Evaluations

The Stillman School conducts evaluations of each course offered every Fall and Spring semester. Every student enrolled in every course has the opportunity to participate and provide feedback on the quality of the instructor, the course, the facilities, among other aspects of the course.
This evaluation system was designed by the Stillman faculty and has been improved over the years through the collaborative efforts of both the faculty and several Deans. The evaluations are administered at the end of each semester by the Office of the Dean. They are conducted by graduate students to ensure that the results are confidential until after all grades have been submitted at the end of the semester. The results are compiled by the Office of the Dean and provided to each course instructor and their respective department chairperson. The evaluation results are an important part of each faculty member’s annual planning process.
I am a strong supporter of the evaluation system. While not perfect, the evaluation process provides each instructor with valuable insight and feedback from an important constituency - our students. A copy of the evaluation form can be found here. The links below will provide the results of my course evaluations that are available in a digital format for the last several semesters. The numeric results link to the values assigned by my students to the objective questions found on the evaluation form. The comments link to the optional section of the evaluation where students can comment on any aspect of the course.
